The Freedom Fighters Foundation is putting together a fabulous show for everyone at The Alley Hang-Out on Friday, September 10. Keldamuzik a.k.a. Da Diva from California is coming to St. Maarten especially to entertain you.
The Freedom Fighters Foundation has put together successful shows for various occasions over the past 11 years, usually as a tribute to greats such as Bob Marley, Marcus Mosiah Garvy and Haile Sellassie.
The Freedom Fighters Foundation feels the need to do something positive for the youth of the island, especially in light of the fact that so many youngsters are being led astray due to bad parenting, lack of amenities on the island where the youth can enjoy themselves and the fact that so many youth are being drawn into negative and subversive pastimes. At there is "no time like the present" to start, the Freedom Fighters Foundation looked at what they could do and in what way they could approach this problem. All young people love music and so the decision to do something positive through the medium of music was formed. What better way than to put together a show that will appeal to the youth and all those who are into urban music?
By approaching an overseas group or persons in the music field they had the idea that if they formed a "Twin-City" approach, the group or persons would come here to entertain and in turn the talented, chosen youngsters could go "there" to entertain, showing to the world that St. Maarten has world class youth able to perform on the world stage.
The Freedom Fighters Foundation found Da Diva on FaceBook (FaceBook has certainly changed world communication) and after much exchanging of ideas Da Diva, understanding what the Freedom Fighters Foundation has in mind, said she was extremely willing to promote the island and its young talent in the US. The decision was made for her to come here first to perform.
Freedom Fighters Foundation future plans, after having put this show together, is to help the youth focus on an international level of performing and to open doors for these young talents to go and perform in California.
Da Diva has not travelled to St. Maarten before. She will be travelling with her camera crew to record this event and some of the lovely spots on our beautiful island and this will then be broadcast on her television show in California. Let's give her a very warm welcome; let's show her just how wonderful the youth, adults and the island are.
Da Diva is a recording artist. She will perform her songs for all those who attend the show. To whet your appetite for this delightful show, you can listen to her songs on www.keldamuzik.net
Rastafarians feel they get a bad rap all too often from those who do not understand what they are all about and it is a positive turn-around to see that they are as concerned for the youth of this island as all other caring groups are AND that they are intent on doing something positive for the youth "immediately if not sooner."
The evening promises to be fantastic, as not only Da Diva will be performing, but also
The Cut Creator DJ Outkast, Ku-J, Versatile, Ziggy Chang, Tatiana. The evening will be hosted by Di Dancehalltoligist Suppa Kid.
What a night to enjoy, what a night to remember!
Da Diva:
Keldamuzik is that Special Force, a Diva Force! She is the Sassy, but Classy, Classy, but Edgy Spitzress, Prima Donna and Rap Goddess of Hip Hop and the entertainment world, with a "Diva Swagger," a special force that has to be seen and heard.
This special force called "Keldamuzik the Diva" further embellishes these commentaries with a dynamic fresh look that's both feminine and stylish, but yet personifies the strength of all tough, enterprising and independent young women, as she demonstrates in her two hit singles "Get up and Get it" and "Girlfriend."
This special force is seen and heard through her showmanship, a vibrant regal energy with a sexy smile that gets you dancing, but also reaches down into your soul as she steps off the stage into the audience and looks you dead in the eyes as if she's telling her story directly to you. These qualities are what make her a star.
This is especially demonstrated when she spits fire with powerful lyrics and a lyrical delivery that has tonality and colourful expressiveness and not your average screaming on a microphone over a too much bass distorted beat that over powers the Hip Hop lyrics and the Hip Hop artist.
The Alley Hang-Out is located on Welfare Road, Simpson Bay.
Admission: US $10 before 1:00 am; thereafter $15.
Show time: 11:00 pm – until .................
