Hillside Christian School kicked off the 2011 Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup on St. Maarten at Belair Beach. This school is the first of many that will clean up Dutch side beaches during the month of September. The cleanup does not only mean gathering trash, but also documenting what kind of trash is found and how much of it, where on the island it is found and more. These students are junior scientists! Sponsors included International Liquors for organic juices and Belair Hotel, which collected the filled trash bags.
