We have all gone again through the ordeal of long hours and even days without electricity. I would like to use your paper to offer a word of advice to GEBE. I don't have enough knowledge to offer a long-term solution. However, I have a short-term relief method whenever the power is not sufficient and load-shedding is in order.

I remember very well how many years ago, whenever there was not enough power, GEBE would call all big companies who have big generators, inquire if they had sufficient diesel and ask them to go off the grid so that they had no reason to shut off entire districts.

I am certain if GEBE would do this again, those large companies would not hesitate to start their generators and help GEBE to maintain power to the residents. This way a lot of unnecessary suffering can be avoided
