   A week a ago I was leaving for work and at the side of my house laid the lifeless body of a dog I have been seeing around the neighbourhood a few times. I never fed him because there are so many strays over here, and I have already kept one I can't keep all.

  There should be a shelter for them. Dogs get abandon and have to look around searching for food. While on the hunt these house dogs get attacked and battered by the streets dogs. They are malnourished and have skeleton figures. Most of the time these dogs either starve to death get poisoned or die from their injuries.

  Animals are living souls just like humans. The only difference is that they need to be taken care of in order to have a safe long life. The dog seemed to be a house dog because of his collar; either it ran away, got abandoned or was used as a fighting dog. He strayed around the Madame Estate and zoo area for a few weeks searching for food or trying to find his way back home.

  His head looked like it was too heavy for his neck and wobbled a bit when he walked. He was either attacked or forced to fight for his life from the injuries that are scared on the top of his head down his ear. He passed away on 27-1-2012; he was either poison or died from head injuries from the look of the foam in his mouth.

  I called Animal Welfare to dispose of him but they informed me they do not take dead dogs. I was told to call public works but I did not because it just seemed so cold, so my brother-in-law and I dug a hole and buried his body in my back yard.

Speak for the animals! We need a law to protect the animals!
